I help moms in all stages of motherhood, including mothers to be.  I will support you through IVF and through your pregnancy.  I will collaborate with other providers on your treatment team to assure a healthy pregnancy and delivery.

Congratulations!  We can give you coping skills to help you adjust to being a parent, as it can come with a lot of physical, mental, and emotional changes.  Having a baby really does change everything.

My Approach to Therapy for Moms

Validation

As a mom, you have the potential to be your child's biggest supporter.  We can give you the skills to support your child regardless of their age.  Remember you have the hardest job a person can possibly have, and you're doing the best you can.

Support

Mama, you deserve some self care too.  It's okay to have time away from your kids.  It's okay to take care of yourself.  It's okay to invest in yourself so you can be more present for your kids.

Self care

We can talk about some self care strategies that go beyond buying yourself a piece of clothing or taking a bubble bath.  We can teach you how to put yourself first without feeling guilty.

Self soothe

When you can soothe yourself, you can soothe your child too.  We can work on some grounding techniques and DBT skills to help you soothe yourself, so you can feel more calm and at peace.
