My Approach to Body Image Therapy

Through CBT and self compassion, we can reframe distorted thoughts you have about your appearance

I provide a supportive environment where you can address and transform negative core beliefs you have about yourself.  We can work on challenging and reframing these thoughts so you can see yourself differently and recognize that a thought really is just a thought.    

We can explore and understand the root causes of body image issues

This includes societal issues, negative self talk, or past experiences that are affecting you in present day.  We can explore and process trauma and other major life events that might have contributed to your body image concerns, allowing you to move past it.

Body inclusive care

I work from a body inclusive lens, and welcome everyBODY to come to body image therapy if you feel you will benefit.  We can explore personal and societal factors contributing to body image distortions, which can affect people in many different body types.
