My Approach to Eating Disorder Therapy

Get to the heart of the matter

Eating disorders can come with a lot of secrecy and shame.  I provide a safe, non-judgmental space to explore thoughts, emotions, and underlying causes that trigger restricting.  We can explore how your relationship with food is connected to deeper issues such as anxiety, control, perfectionism, and self worth.

Body inclusive care

I work from a body inclusive lens and believe people can be healthy at many different weights.  Weight loss will not be the goal of therapy, but rather help you get to a place where you can go out to brunch with your friends without thinking twice about it.

I can be your ally

I will be in your corner to help you feel more confident, take control of your life, and  move toward a lasting recovery.  I will collaborate with the rest of your treatment team and support you if you are transitioning from a higher level of care.
